How do I Join the National Redbone Coonhound Association?

 

Dues are $15.00 a year for either a single membership or a family which includes children under the age of 16. New members receive a membership card, arm patch, a window decal, and the Redbook.

What are the election rules for NRCA Officers?

(Effective January 1991)
Before any member of the association accepts any nomination for any Executive office, Director, or Trustee opening, the member should realize the responsibilities and be willing to undertake those responsibilities. This includes attendance at all necessary meetings. Any Executive officer, Director, or Trustee who misses more than one of the annual meetings a year without reasonable excuse will be replaced. A member may not accept a nomination for more than one office or vacancy. To be nominated for the office of President, a member must serve at least 2 terms (years) as an Executive officer or 3 years as a Director or Trustee, so they can become familiar with the operations of the organization. Members must be either a Director or Trustee for 2 years to be Vice President.
Anyone nominated for an office must accept in person or a letter of intent to accept an office prior to the nomination.
(Effective January 2003)
Any board member that is removed because of not attending the required number of meetings without being excused cannot be nominated to serve on the board again for a minimum of 4 years.

Misconduct Ruling.. ?

(Effective February 2006)
1. Any person or dog barred from any coonhound registry will also be barred from entering any NRCA event, licensed or non-licensed.
a. Any person this rule pertains to will also be restricted from holding any office in the NRCA.
b. Any person found guilty of cheating or unsportsmanlike conduct in any way at a NCRA event, by a selected board, will be barred or put on probation immediately.
c. A barred person can still be a member of NRCA if so desired.
d. Any person barred by NRCA cannot win the high scoring Redbone tropy which is given at other events.
