Single registration is open.
Single registration is open. For an application send a check for $5.00 made
out to NRCA and send to the coordinator He will then send you all of the necessary information
including the name of an inspector.
Criteria: dog must be at least one year old, meet the Redbone
standard, be an open trailer, and be able to track and tree a raccoon alone.
The rules for UKC Single Registration are as
follows:
The National Redbone Coonhound Association (NRCA) will vote in July, 2009 to
close or continue with open single registration.
Registration Requirements:
* Dog must meet the UKC Redbone Coonhound Breed Standard,
* Have a complete three generation pedigree and
* Pass NRCA inspection as described below:
Inspection Requirement:
The dog may be inspected on coon or big game. If inspected on coon, dog must be
hunted alone and strike, trail tree and stay treed for five minutes on coon in
their natural habitat. If inspected on big game (lion, bobcat, bear), dog must
prove to be a willing and contributing member of the pack from strike to tree.
At the time of the inspection, applicant must submit three color photographs of
the dog, (one of each side and one of the front, all in a standing position) and
a stamped envelope, addressed to Larry Brough.
